Third Cabinet Card Frame

Here's my third sample for the Cabinet Card Frame swap.  This swap is the May swap at the Collage Stuff Yahoo Group.  The images are from Tumble Fish Studios and Hidden Vintage Studio at the Deviant Scraps website.  The flowers, cabinet card frames and German scrap items are available at Collage Stuff. I had the brass charms in my stash.  If you'd like to participate in this swap, join the Collage Stuff Yahoo Group.  Thanks for stopping by!

Second Cabinet Card Frame

This is a steampunk collage in a Tim Holtz cabinet card frame.  The image of the man is from Hidden Vintage Studios, the hat is from Itkupilli, the light bulb/test image image is from Tumble Fish Studios - all at Deviant Scraps website.  I made a digital collage and inserted it into the frame.  I added the gears and key using mat medium.  The gears are available at Collage Stuff.  I picked up the pocket watch at Hobby Lobby.  It's a Jolie's dimensional embellishment.   Thanks for stopping by!

Sample for a new swap

I love the new cabinet card frames from Advantus and Tim Holtz. When I saw them,  the first thing that went through my head was how wonderful these would be to use in a swap.  These frames are like a sleeve.  You can slide in a photo, your own art or whatever!  The May swap at the Collage Stuff Yahoo Group is going to be a Cabinet Card Frame Swap.
Whenever I announce a new swap at the group, I have to provide at least one sample, so here is the first sample.
The base image is from one of the French Ephemera Collage Sheets available at Collage Stuff.  The remaining images inside the oval are from Tumble Fish Studios at the Deviant Scraps website.  I added  little pink jewels and accents with gold Liquid Pearls.  The pink ruler ribbon, flowers and little gold metal accents are available at Collage Stuff.  Of course, the Cabinet Card Frames are also available at Collage Stuff.  The frames come in a pack of 5. I added some interest to the frame by stamping haphazardly with brown archival ink.
The frames hold something about 4" x 6".  I cut a piece of cardstock 4" x 6" and created my art on this base.  This size gives you a little wiggle room to position the finished art inside the frame.

Altered Postcard #3

Here's my third altered postcard.  This postcard reminded me of Frida Kahlo for some reason, so Frida it is!  The Frida image is available at Collage Stuff.  I printed out some little black and white squares and trimmed them down for the frame on the postcard.  The other images are from Crow About Studio B at the Deviant Scraps website.  I used gold Liquid Pearls to accent different areas of the postcard.  The tiny black buttons and the heart jewel brad are also available at Collage Stuff.  Thanks for stopping by!

Altered Postcard Sample #2

Here's another altered postcard sample!  Thanks for stopping by!

Altered Postcard Swap

I'm hosting an altered postcard swap at the Collage Stuff Yahoo Group in April.  It's always a VERY good idea for me to come up with a sample before I post the swap.  So here's a sample that I made.  I used an old postcard that shows a British war memorial.  I decided to keep the memorial theme and added cemetery angels, flowers, music, a clock and a photo of a British serviceman.  Before I started I scanned in the postcard.  No way was I working on the postcard to start with.  Working with the scanned image let me finalize the design before committing to it. I stamped the postcard with coffee archival ink but masked the memorial statue, so that it would not be stamped.
The cemetery angels, flowers, British serviceman photo, clock button, and German scrap are all available at Collage Stuff.
If you'd like to participate in this swap, join the Collage Stuff Yahoo Group.  I'll be posting this swap later on in the week.

I Want to Get Away ATCs

The February swap at the Collage Stuff Yahoo Group was an ATC swap with the theme of "I want to get away!"  This is my entry.  The background image is from the Collage Stuff "French Ephemera 2" collage sheet.  The couples image is from the Collage Stuff "French Ephemera 3" collage sheet.  The gargoyle image is from the Collage Stuff "Gargoyles Minis" collage sheet.  The Eiffel tower image is from the Collage Stuff "Vintage Paris" collage sheet.  A red Marlowe's theatre ticket (Collage Stuff) is at the top left.  The Black Leaf Corner German scrap, Black Fleur Border and Paris Clock button are available at Collage Stuff.  The Paris word image is from the Collage Stuff "artwords" collage sheet.  So...where I would like to get away to is to Paris.  I'd love to visit the old cemeteries, churches, monuments and revel in the architecture.  Thanks for stopping by!
