Winter ATC

Here's my entry for the Collage Stuff December ATC swap, "Artist's Choice." The background is a polished stone done with Adirondack's alcohol inks and silver metallic mixative. I haven't done the polished stone for a while, so this was fun! I used some paper lace as a stencil along each side lengthwise with a Ranger Pearl acrylic paint dabber. It's kind of hard to see in this photo. The girl image is from the Collage Stuff "Noelle" collage sheet. I overstamped the image with one of my favorite text stamps. I inked it with the pearl paint and it turned out pink pearl as there was some pink already on the stamp. It worked out fine. I never clean my stamps. The "winter" was generated at the Acme.com label making web page. I found the silver do dads in my stuff. I recently got one of the Zutter round it alls and I love it. It rounds thick corners effortlessly.

Christmas Little Fat Book - done finally!

I signed up for a Christmas Little Fat Book swap that entailed creating 5 pages, with the front and back covers. My first idea was to use all Victorian scrap items, but I got tired of Victorian scrap. So, I went back to using some of my favorite girl images.

Marvelous Mona

I'm hosting a Marvelous Mona swap on the artisttradingcards yahoo group. This is my entry. Mona has been digitally altered to be a Victorian Mona. I used PSP for part of this image and MS Digital Image Pro for part of it. There are things that I like and dislike about each of these programs.

October Arches

I'm in two gothic arch swaps and this month, I decided to do both at one time. That's why two of these are so very similar.

Halloween/Victorian Scrap ATC's

Here are some Halloween themed ATC using Collage Stuff Victorian scrap images. They are for the Collage Stuff September ATC swap, "Victorian Times". I like the image of this crone. I gave her a little skirt in two of the ATC's.

Last Two Arches for today

I finished up the arches for this month. The first one is a grungy canvas using the Collage Stuff Winging Away collage sheet. The second uses one of my favorite images that I really need to get on a collage sheet.

Halloween Post Gothic Arch

This arch uses one of the postage stamps from the Witchy Woman collage sheet. I enlarged the image to a larger size.

Witchy Woman Gothic Arch

Halloween is my favorite holiday and I've been anxious to sit down and make something with my new Witchy Woman collage sheet! Here she is!

New collage sheet

I just got this collage sheet done tonight. It's called Witchy Woman. I've been trying to upload it to Collage Stuff, but my internet connection is not the world's greatest since the hurricane came through. I'm truly blessed. I only have minor inconveniences to deal with as a result of the hurricane. Back to the collage sheet. This woman is truly gorgeous. She's a 1930's flapper. It's hard to see, but she has a spider web over one eye. I think she makes a perfect "witchy woman".

Last arch for this swap

Here's the last arch for this swap. I glued this one to the previous one before taking the photo. I didn't get a chance to add this before I evacuated for hurricane Ike.

I evacuated Friday for hurricane Ike to San Antonio. I could hardly believe that I was able to get a hotel room. I came back to today after keeping in touch all weekend with a friend that lives near by in the Katy area. I came home to minimal damage. My phone land lines don't work and a part of my privacy fence was blown down. I feel very fortunate. In my area, there are many trees pulled up out of the ground and broken off, many broken off branches, many blown down fences, blown down signs and some damage to structures. I didn't see any gas stations open. I saw a Lowe's open and I think a couple of grocery stores, Wal Marts and Sam's are supposed to be open today.

Winging Away Arch

Arch #3 using images from my new Winging Away collage sheet. I love these whimsical butterfly girls! Brown rub-ons and stick on jewels are also used.

Raven Arch

I used images from Collage Stuff collage sheets for this arch. The background is lots of layers of paper and different paints and stamped images. It's been embossed in stages with clear and gold embossing powder. I'm liking my grungy backgrounds this week!

One new Gothic Arch

Here's a new Gothic arch! This little girl is my new favorite image. I've got to get it on a collage sheet. I think she's adorable! The background is made from layers of paper (scrapbook, sheet music and dictionary pages), paint, stamped swirls and inks. It was embossed with clear and gold embossing powders. The buttons are white. I dipped them in a pigment ink and embossed them with gold embossing powder.

Cemetery Imagery ATC's

Here's a batch of Cemetery ATC's that I did for my Collage Stuff Cemetery Imagery Swap. I used the new Collage Stuff Cemetery Imagery #2 collage sheet. I got out my glazes, Luna Lights, MM and Golden Fluid acrylics and had fun playing. I stamped flourishes in between layers of paint and embossed swirls in gold as a finishing touch. I like to let the stray embossing stay. I added bits of dictionary pages and stick on jewels on some of the ATC's.

Last Two Arches for Today

The last two arches are done - one page, front and back. Both of the central images will be available on upcoming Collage Stuff collage sheets.
